I finally found a Hank Williams Jr. album that I like. Actually, I've been looking for it for years! I should record it. Back in the day, I recorded everything and only listened to my albums once or twice. Now I never listen to tape. My records are getting more wear now than in 30 years of collecting.

I like some of his stuff, just not enough to pay money for it.
ReplyDeleteYeah I know what you mean. It was $1.99 and I really hate to pay more than $.99. I almost didn't buy it as it didn't have the sleeve but I thought I had to have the one Hank Jr. album that I might like.
ReplyDeleteThe, "I've got a rifle and a pistol and a pretty good hunch, if you mess with me you better bring a sack lunch..." school of country music is not may favorite.
I am on the brink of moving into the twenty first century of music appreciation. I just won a $25 i-tunes card so I guess I will have to do some down loading. See if I can use new technology to acquire vintage music.
ReplyDeleteUsually hear country when the wife drives. Classic rock for me. That and selected Ledge songs.
ReplyDeleteIn Japan (back in the 70s) the albums had a thin sleeve inside the paper sleeve, and then the jacket. We recorded them also. Didn't want to wear out the album.
Anything with Urbie Green. Well almost, he did have a couple of duds. The Persuasive Trombone
ReplyDeletewill always be as one of the greatest albums ever. And this: Urbie Green and His Band - I Got It Bad (And That Ain't Good)
