Another successful engine swap

Here is the second Hercules military engine converted to White tractor Hercules.
Actually this was a Continental. But they appear to be identical.
This one was more difficult as the cam gear was pressed on instead of threaded.
Seems to have a slight miss at low rpm when cold.
The first swap appears to have gained noticeable horsepower increase.
This engine now runs at 2500 rpm. We got the injector pump rebuilt and they set the pump up a bit. I think I will set the throttle stop down to 2200 or 2300 rpm.

Note: I'm having trouble replying to comments again. I'm back to using my phone.

I also have trouble keeping up with other people's blogs. I apologize. Im Too cheap to upgrade laptop.

Another post about what is wrong with the world

Why I hate people from Portland.

Why I don't hang out with progressives.
Here are comments I copied off of an article relating a cross put up to mark the spot where a pretty none offensive grandfatherly type person was shot. The unbelievable hypocrisy of people who think cops are horrible when a member of their favorite group is shot, but applaud when same police standards are also applied to a group who they don't like.
It is especially amazing when this group is basically non threatening. They don't loot, they occupy a non important building in the middle of nowhere they don't disrupt traffic during rush hour and they are kind of old.
Ironically... I saw a post on my Facebook page from a  "friend" who was decrying the destruction of the Centennial Mills building in Portland Oregon. They were quite upset about this destruction of a historic building. The destruction was approved by the Portland Development council. They waxed quite poetic on the subject.
Imagine how one would feel if it was your OWN land that had been condemned and appropriated by the gubment. Or it was your ranch targeted for acquisition by the BLM. Total insanity.
Not to annoy anyone I like but here is an example...

I have farmed a piece of property for most of my life. It has been sold to a quasi gubment agency so that they can create a wildlife sanctuary to offset their damage to the environment from killing salmon in their fish ladders.
I find it so absolutely offensive and absurd I start sputtering when I try to talk about it. Promoting an overpopulation of Elk so you can kill salmon is an inane idea. Plus, it is really a land grab by the Feds and it is administrated by the local Soil and Water Conservation district. It pisses me off so much I won't call the administrator back even though he is my friend (as much as anyone who works for the gubment can be your "friend") and even though I really need the money.
I really don't want to ever set foot on the property again, once it is owned by the "gubment." This idea that it is "our" land is a lie. It is in fact... The Kings Forest...
Anyway, here are the comments.

No one finds great sport in making fun of the mentally or physically handicapped ( unless you are named Trump) and in a small way I do feel sorry for the seditionists in Malheur. I guess I was more concerned with their training and tactical abilities to hurt some of my friends in law enforcement. I see now how foolish I was to think that a bunch of indoctrinated two legged cows would ever be a threat to them.  It is obvious that they, and all like them, arent tactically capable of seizing a toilet. I do so hope that the next nutjob seditionist rectal probing wads have a bit more training and ability than some fat alcoholics or a couple of child molesters. Fake marines, drug busted bloats, child abusers, thieves of all stripe, wife beaters....hey..bring em on.  Thats the new engraving on the Statue of Liberty of the western states. Y'all best get yo sheit in one sock most rikki tik.

You know when I saw the picture associated with this story I stopped what I was doing (cleaning out my sink traps) and I played a sad song with the worlds tiniest violin. After five seconds I stopped that and went back to my life. I am much happier now.

better start building the "Memorial to the slain Patriot"....HOGWASH   there is no honor in this place...none... a criminal was attempted to be apprehended and caused his own death through resistance to arrest and carrying a loaded firearm after threatening harm if law enforcement dared to interfere in his rights as a sovereign citizen....  is there a monument to McVeigh... hardly

This man was and is NO hero... to anyone....

Cripe.  Selective reading of the Constitution, and now even selective eyesight.  The mentality...  "blatant murder."  Good God.  It was a tragedy anyone had to die here, but people who keep trying to create their own facts, and threaten further violence are themselves the problem.

I do so hope they video the takedown of that pig faced seditionist Sean Anderson...who was last seen doing the grizzly bear dance with his sow. Watch him whine and squeal and snivel like the coward he is as the steel bracelets are put on his wrists. "Armageddon...come get some...KILL THEM" to quote the obese alcoholic convict. You will be a convicted felon Fat boy..all your bang bang toys taken away never to return...do you realize the level of your insipid stupidity yet?

I thought Lavoy was a Mormon.  They don't use crosses.  This must be some seditious wag trying to discredit him.

Tasteful, at least. Unfortunately, when the 3% arrives, they'll set up a kiosk to sell their really kewl merch.

The three percenters original patch added two roman numerals to the outlaw biker one percent patch..worn by Hells Angels, Bandidos et al.  Someone informed them of that marketing no-no.

@Grambles Sean Anderson has about $1000 worth of 3% wear on his facebook page.  He's like a sports fan covered in his favorite team and was so excited that they held open tryouts that he drove all the way from Wisconsin for his chance to become a pro!

Let's see who donates and how much for the defense of these seditionist scum. Some New York or Texas lawyer will certainly look for the publicity. It ain't gonna be Cloven hooved Bundy down in the desert..hell he can't afford to pay his grazing fees..( but there IS that lucre he got from the telling of his story!)  Let's see if old Cloven hooved Bundy makes the trail to the court house. ..dont hold yer breath now! Let's see if there will be more Tim McVeighs or Jerad Millers or any number of just as unstable people getting on that wagon train to hell.

Some of my neighbors take legal risks routinely.  By that I mean they break various laws, i.e.....drive while intoxicated....use illegal recreational drugs...shoot big game on their wive's or 80 year-old mothers license....regularly drive far over the speed limit....and so on.  You know...all those pesky little laws that just hinder a persons personal freedom of choice.  When these folks get caught...they squeal like gut-shot pigs and characterize the Game and Fish as "bullys" or the State police as "unfair" ...or the city cop as "setting me up"....or they simply boast about their law breaking and demonize government for setting these "unreasonable rules".  I hear it everyday at the bar or coffee table in our neighborhood here in Northern Idaho.  This truly bizarre and totally wingnut thinking takes on a false righteousness...a result of group think.....as folks cuss and discuss LE or laws in general.  Everyone joins in and pretty soon everyone at the in the group is smug, and come to believe they are truly justified in routinely breaking laws.   After all....everyone does it...everyone at the table and in the neighborhood thinks the laws are "unreasonable" and "not fair" and "limit our ability to enjoy our lives."

It appears to me that this is what has happened in the LaVoy Finicum case.  Even after they clamored for the FBI to release a video....even after the FBI released an unedited video.....even after it is plainly obvious that Finicum refused to follow instructions and sped off....even after they can see him charge out of the vehicle, put his hands down twice....even after the Oregon State Patrol says they observed him to make a threatening motion as though to reach for his inside pocket....even though Finicum had a loaded handgun in that pocket....even though everyone has heard and saw Finicum threatening to use his weapons against authority....they still don't believe the FBI, the State Police or the video.  It isn't  really a disbelief in the FBI or LE in general....I think their contesting the facts has more  to do with a population who who routinely break laws...and never ever take personal responsibility or are ever truly honest and admit they are in fact the problem.  I think most of the folks stating Finicum was unfairly killed...whether they use the word "murder" or "execution"  simply won't or are unable to accept that there is law and order in the world.  They  break the law without consequences so often that they have come to view the application of law to be "unfair"...or "wrong"....or "overreach"....regardless of the circumstances.

@Avalon Actually they were "foster children", paid for by the feds that he so despised. Basically the man was a white slaver, using these people for cheap labor at his ranch.

I suggest that some of you start keeping a diary of this ongoing standoff.

It has been weird the number of people focusing on the death of the cowboy.  The fascination and after 4 weeks, there's 10 articles about now.

Nah.
He wasn't a "Cowboy."  He was a poser.  A moocher.
I grew up in Arizona, on a real cattle ranching reservation.
Honestly, Mormons get real weird when left to their own devices in remote areas. Completely different than normal urban and suburban Mormons.
