What I've always suspected about soccer

Not that there is anything wrong with it...
Just the same I will get a lot of amusement out the neighbor guy who wears funny pants, claims he is Austrian (not German) and whose son plays for the Portland Timbers.
And also Jose' who seems to be just a tad on the "homophobic" side. That is a long story which involves him coming to America and a very helpful older gentleman who likes to help out young hispanic boys...
Comedy gold comes my way. Thank you very much Timber Army!

I haven't seen them patting each other on the ass like they do in the American style of football!
I'm surprised the NFL hasn't gone rainbow.

  2. Of course one must always issue the disclaimer, "Not that there is anything wrong with that..."
I'm pretty sure the NFL is all about repression and staying "in the closet," except when you won't get caught. I'm not sure that is a bad thing. Heaven help us if I ever decide to become un-repressed. Although, I suppose cigarette smoking cheerleaders with excessive makeup need love too, love and discipline... Oh my, I have gotten off subject haven't I"
I think it is pretty funny that the church groups are all fighting to be in the parade. A few years ago they would have been burning the paraders at the stake. Now they are all about love for buggery and want to burn those of us who feel slightly uneasy around grown men in funny costumes acting like idiots. Which also could apply to my view of the NFL.

  3. Keep in mind that soccer is becoming the church of the post modern age. In our area they tend to have big meetings on Sunday morning with snacks, lots of fellowship and things for the entire family. They meet in all weather and welcome anyone who has a family member with high soxs.

Maybe if the churches would meet outside and have a dress code they would attract more people.

    Grace and peace.

  4. I would not disagree with your statement about the church of sport.
I don't think people attend church for two reasons, 1. Lack of leadership in the churches due to de-evolution of society.
    2. Churches teach self discipline and delayed gratification and those are no longer needed values. Also due to de-evolution...
