I'm not sure exactly how I found this advertisement on Craigslist.
Should the link expire, I will explain. It is for people to join a WW-II historical re-enactment club. They have German and Russian units and US units. They camp in the woods and shoot guns loaded with blanks.
There is no where to sign up to be a refugee...
I'm not sure why I think that is funny...

We should all dress up like refugees with ox carts full of stuff and crash the party.

ReplyDeleteYou bet that was funny. Sorry but I can't deal with it. I have a problem putting on my last uniform from Vietnam. Reinactors miss the point, in make believe everything is a show, tomorrow they go back to their day job. Maybe in humor they can figure I'm not laughing at you but them.

Anonymous, that was kind of the point of my comment about refugees. It all makes me uncomfortable somehow. All the cool stuff from a war, guns, tanks, old uniforms. No death and destruction and suffering.
