C.S. Lewis saw the whole thing coming

I'm going to have to dig out some real literature and start reading instead of posting.
My Daughter is watching the Chronicles of Narnia from the BBC. The one with less than top shelf actors and really fake costumes.
So we are watching "The Silver Chair." Jill and Eustace are at the experiment house. A "modern" educational facility where everyone is supposed to be equal and they care about social concerns. In "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader," Eustace had "modern" parents who were obvious postWWII socialists. Most of his problems were a conflict between the old kind of God and Country and honor sort of folks who represented the old way of life in Britian.
Eustace's parents and the Experiment house people won in England. There is no more England, or Britian or the English Empire. There is no more British pound and young English people spend their time in a drunken stupor while their govenment imports more and more people who hate them.
The USA is doing its best to follow. It is about 20 years behind the EU. Watch the hate crimes legislation. It needs to be relabled "thought crimes."
S. is reading the "Last Battle," at school. How that book escaped the thought police is beyond me.
I wonder. Is William Ayers the Ape and is Obama Puzzle? We certianly have the other characters in place. More and more Calmorines are coming everyday. One of them went Islamic at Fort Hood the other day...
I think there were a few folks who have read George Orwell's 1984 and thought it was a good way to run the world.
