I've been stacking hay.
Sometimes it is not very fun, sometimes I am just thankful for the air conditioning.
Some very nice people came to see me one day this week.
Nice conversation on the previous post.
Now I'm going back to stacking hay.
I wish this effort somehow translated into financial security...
Have a nice day...

I have about 80 small squares to stack by hand in the hayloft. They have been sitting on the trailer "drying" for over a week now. Might have something to do with the 90 degree heat and high humidity and knowing that it is even hotter in the hay loft.
ReplyDeleteRalph, I remember stacking bales so high in the barn you had to bend over to push them up into the peak of the roof or you would hit your head on the rail for the old hay lift.
DeleteIt is not fun when it is 90 degrees.
Air con on a tractor is great. I used to hate it when I was baling and seeing a broken bale, knowing I'd have to leave the cool cab to pick up some dusty straw to shove through the baler. Sometimes it felt I like I had more broken ones that good. Never was much good at stacking them though.
ReplyDeleteKev, Air is wonderful, especially at my advanced age. I do not want to get out of the cab. The mechanical hay stacker has got to be the best thing ever invented for farmers!
