I don't know what it says about me, but I still remember reading one of your blog posts way, way back where you talked about how your uncle was complaining about how you used floor-dry instead of sawdust to clean up oil on the floor.
For what it's worth, I'm in the floor-dry camp when I manage to dump a few gallons of oil on the floor.
That was a long time ago! Not only has my uncle passed, but most of my readers from that era are also now voting democrat! Now I can use floor dry to my hearts content. Seems kind of pointless on gravel but just the knowledge that I can with no lectures is a comfort.
Free sawdust is best. Back in the day sawdust was everywhere. We had a timber economy and sawdust was the by product. My parents house was heated by a sawdust burner. Now that good paying resource based economy has been replaced by tourists and wine there is no sawdust. Perhaps now we could burn nasty unsold Oregon wine?
Dust control!
ReplyDeleteIf I dump enough it becomes asphalt
