This Blog does not in any Fathomable way reflect any of the current opinions or beliefs of the institution I used to work for. In fact my former employer has completely disavowed any link or reference to them in this blog.
We rarely have lightning hitting the ground. It is usually sheet lighting so very few fires. I was once baling straw in Florida and there was a lightning storm. You could see the strikes like they were walking towards you. I was not nervous and sat watching the display, quite in awe, until I smelled the ozone. Then I got to thinking perhaps the warnings were in fact correct!
I have always enjoyed lightening and thunder storms but I have never lived on a farm where I had to deal so regularly with the damage.
