I'm not sure how I will support myself.Amateur cartoonist?<br />I just finished baling the bulk of my straw. Out of say $16,000 worth of straw and a weeks work I get to call $500 a clear profit. If I had two balers and did twice the volume I think my profit would be like $1,500 so I guess it just goes back to economies buddeshepherdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10747323705664619491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527757877422839218.post-24864895077123622172010-07-28T21:27:11.039-07:002010-07-28T21:27:11.039-07:00I've been at this closer to 40 years and still...I've been at this closer to 40 years and still can't play the fiddle and banjo like my Uncle used to.Ralph Goffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04873610891410100788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527757877422839218.post-7778474449501182302010-07-28T14:10:40.457-07:002010-07-28T14:10:40.457-07:00And after 35 years you can chuck it all in and pla...And after 35 years you can chuck it all in and play the fiddle and the banjo. That's my story. At least I'd been practicing, especially on nights after knocking myself out doing something practically necessary but financially worthless, or when the piglets were all dying from some new and horribly virulent disease incubated in the factory confinement units that have ruined our collieguyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10298533259335227324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527757877422839218.post-43568864001680433012010-07-28T08:15:11.451-07:002010-07-28T08:15:11.451-07:00Thats the trouble with all those numbers Budde. I try not to do too much of that. As long as I enjoy the work and call it hobby farming I guess I am making a profit. If I ever started paying myself an hourly wage I would probably be "in the red". :0)Ralph Goffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04873610891410100788noreply@blogger.com
