A statement and a question

1. I don't want to go to work today...

2. In what field did I leave my pickup?

I can't find my pickup, perhaps more coffee... If I wait long enough the farmer whose house my drill is parked at will vacuum it out and perhaps fill it for me.
And I will bet you dollars to doughnuts I will need diesel in the transfer tank.

    2. Reminds me of a joke...
So this guy wants to buy a parrot for his wife. He goes to the pet shop and they only have one parrot.
Pet shop guy says he can have the parrot for half price but he warns him the parrot swears like a sailor and won't stop.
Guy buys the parrot and take him home. The parrot is fine until the middle of the night when he starts swearing up a blue streak.
Guy can't get the parrot to shut up so he puts him in the freezer and goes back to bed.
Next morning Guy wakes up and remembers the parrot in the freezer. He rushes to the freezer and opens the door. The parrot stumbles out apologizing profusely.
Ok! Ok! I'll stop swearing," says the Parrot, but I gotta know something," he says
"What the $%^&* did the chicken do!"

  4. At least you know you left it in a field. That very helpfully rules out road ditches, river beds, lake bottoms, police impound yards and other inconvenient places,

    1. I did think about lake bottoms. It actually was on the river bottom which is different than the bottom of a river.

  6. I would like to thank all of you for the helpful suggestions on finding my pickup. Fortunately one of my neighbors came by for coffee and offered to give me a ride. It was right where I left it.
    Not in the freezer...
The wife of the farmer I was planting for brought me homemade cookies which are better than doughnuts.
It could have been used to rob an ATM but I see no new scratches.

  7. My dads best mate came out iof the motorway service station once to see that his truck had been stolen. Phone the police, they came out took his details. As he was talking to them he realised that he had to cross the bridge over the road on foot (a covered walkway) to go to the shops. He was on the wrong side of the road the whole time! Luckily the police saw the funny side!
