The Useful Duck!

Contribute to my Vacation, please...

This is what I want for my birthday, Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentines Day, Lucky Number Tuesday, and MLK day.

Somewhere there has to be someone who wants to make major donations to grumpy farmers who blog. If you happen to be such a person please buy me this tractor.
This would have to be the peak of White tractor building and only has 1,600 hours. That is almost brand new. I promise to wash it frequently. I will never make mean comments about restaurants in Amity again.
People pay more money for their stupid big honkin 4wd pickup trucks.
Charlie Sheen pays this much for vapid pornstar hookers from Oregon who don't know that to keep the celebrity hooking jobs and the associated drugs and dollars rolling in they need to just shut up.

  1. Hey, it's in Ohio; Ed Winkle might drive it out for you if you buy it. He probably still has his travellin' shoes on.

  2. Gorge, I think Ed is making so much money off his no-till speeches he could buy it himself... But, I got to thinking and IF each of my subscribers would donate $1,437.50 I could pay cash for it! I'd let you drive it!

  3. I can't tell: is that the obligatory White puddle of hyd. oil underneath it? Or does one with only 1700 hours not leak? I don't know, I've never been around one that new.

  4. Orin, it would not be a White if it did not leak at least a little oil. Perhaps it is really 17,000 hours and a new paint job.

  5. Gee budde, I would like to buy it for you, but I would feel guilty about saddling you with such an expensive machine to repair. Would you consider a post-war 2a jeep? They were marketed to farmers and came with all kinds af attachments such as a 3 point hitch, plows, pto's etc. I've got one I can spare, but it needs a little work & a few new parts.

  6. PS: Those neon lights on the steps are really cool! Very lowriderish. Might have been a Calif. tractor originally.

  7. Muddy, yes I would still be a thrall to AGCO! That is the last series of non electronic user repairable tractors made. So, while parts are expensive you can repair them yourself. No sensors and computer operated transmissions.
I would of course change the red neon to purple neon...
No-three point on your jeep so i couldn't plow. Plus chronic boy can't overhaul it for me as he is still on disability! But thanks for thinking of me.

  8. Wish I could help. The 1500 check would bounce like a rubber ball. It'sa purty thang tho. (saying it looks good down south). Now every time I see a White I'll be thinking of you. no no get these voices out of my head.
They just don't make things like they used to. Where you could tear them apart and fix them at home, with just simple tools.
Bad enough when they came out with Phillips screws and now there going to torx. When will it end??

  9. Nice tractor alright but for that money you could buy a high hour CIH magnum and still get a lot of work out of it. Plus they are still pretty user friendly for repairs when needed. (Speaking from personal experience)

  10. Bobby, You probably won't see that many Whites as no one bought them. I think the torx head is a communist plot along with the metric system to take over the country. You won't know how cold it is or how far into town or how high to make the barn door and you can't take the dadgum thermo-meter apart cause it is put together with them French torx screws. I fixed em though. I just mixed all my meteric, standard, and Whitworth wrenches all together so I never have the right size!
Ralph, You raise a good point. The White has really low hours, but a CIH 7140 is a very nice working full powershift tractor. CIH parts are also expensive. I mostly want the White because it is almost new. However, there are AC/Deutz tractors built by White with Deutz engines and they are really cheap with low hours.
A 6,000 hour White 185 is almost affordable also. I'm not really looking for a tractor. Although the Cummins is MUCH more easier on fuel than the Hercules in my 2-135 and 2-155.
Needless to say, they checks are not rolling in. I imagine folks can't get to the mailbox due to the snow.
